I'm a bit late to the party but better late than never! So let's get the questions started shall we?
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
I joined 10 years ago in the spring when Lasaro introduced me to the website.
What does your username mean?
My username LadyZiel is a combination of a title(?) Lady and a name I use online "Ziel". Ziel is originally just a made-up name I picked when I needed a name for my character in an MMO.
I've always been very picky about my character names and I probably spent 2-3 hours thinking of this one. After playing that game for quite sometime I kept getting asked if I was German or Dutch which confused the hell out of me until someone explained that Ziel means "Soul" in dutch. It apparently means "Goal" in German as well. I thought the Soul translation made it even more fitting as a nickname. I stopped playing that game but I kept the name Ziel and it's been with me ever since. It's been my online persona for so many years now that I'll react faster if you call me Ziel than if you would call me by my real name (Samantha). I use Ziel for both male and female video game characters that I consider to be that worlds representation of me. So "Lady" is just a title without much meaning to me, but "Ziel" is a part of me, it's who I am.
It's pronounced Ze el btw, not like Zeal or seal.
Describe yourself in three words.
Introverted, Gamer and Geeky
Are you left or right handed?
Right handed
What was your first deviation?
This old thing, I still remember working on it in school between breaks. I was so proud when I finished it.
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Digital art
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
3D sculpting
What was your first favourite?
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
I honestly don't know, I tend to favourite everything I love. Drawings in both digital and traditional, 3D stuff, animations, fan art of all forms...
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
There's no way I can pick one single person here. There's plenty of talented people that I admire. Just off the top of my head I can name MarcBrunet, Zeronis, Sakimi-chan, Artgerm, sandara, Lasaro, enduro, Mikeinel, mparchitect / minties, JamesRyman, Kuvshinov-Ilya, yuumei, len-yan, arnistotle, Apofiss and many many more that love and admire, I could probably list people all day...
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Oh wow... ehm... I don't know, there's a lot of people that I would like to meet and simply see how they work on their art. Maybe one big art con!
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
That would be Lasaro when she introduced me to DeviantART all those years ago. There's been many helpful comments and such from fellow deviants on my art but without her I might have never found the website and started uploading my art in the first place.
What are your preferred tools to create art?
My Wacom tablet and windows PC with photoshop. And in case those are out of reach I guess the old pen and paper will be fine.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
When I'm listening to music or working/listening to lectures of some sort. That's usually when I get the best ideas and can do the best artwork. I guess because I'm not overthinking the art itself and just drawing whatever comes to mind.
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Uploading my first artwork, being very shy and not at all confident after seeing everyone's artwork on the website and realizing how horrible mine looked compared to theirs I still decided to upload my first piece. A short while after it was uploaded I got my first favourite followed by a nice comment complementing my work and telling me to "Keep up the good work!". That really motivated me, probably a lot more than I realized back then. I kept getting good feedback on my art after that and that helped me overcome a lot of insecurities and made me more "bold" when it comes to showing my art to others. This also pushed me to improve and here I am today 10 years later still drawing.
Thank you for reading~!

Happy New year!
This is basically just an excuse for me to get rid of my old journal entry with bad links and whatnot. So happy new year everyone! I promise to be more active in the coming year ^^

Digital art is frustrating...
As the title says. I hate doing digital art from scratch. Specially since I don't really have a good place to sit with my laptop and tablet on flat surface without killing my back >_> So before I'm even halfway through a sketch I'm so tired of drawing it that I'll ragequit. I need my traditional art sketches so I can just do the lineart, color it and be done with it all. Cause I love doodling traditionally, but hate it digitally. However I love doing lineart and coloring digitally.
So don't expect any more art uploads until I get a scanner which might take a while. I got so many bills to pay. T_T
But I'm most likely... hopefully... getting
New tablet on it's way! And Thank You
Ordered a new tablet now cause I couldn't help myself... really shouldn't since I'm sorta broke but I guess I'll just live on noodles for the last few days of the month xD
So expect some drawings once I get used to the tablet and get it to work on my comp. I still don't have a scanner so it'll just be digital art for now. 100% digital art takes a lot of time for me to draw though, but I should have some new drawings up sooner rather than later :)
Love you guys and thank you so much for the support even though I've been inactive. I don't deserve you
I hope I've improved some too... I still have a long way to go and much to lea
Anyone got any recommendations for a good scanner?
I moved approx 2 months ago to my own appartement and I'm now living there with my boyfriend. But the problem with this is... I don't have any scanner(yet) and my old wacom tablet is starting to fall apart, or at least the pen is getting so bad I can barely use it.
So I currently got sort of a dilemma. I'm getting a cat, a beautiful ragdoll boy which you'll probably see some photos of soon, I don't care if you want to see them or not :D But he's expensive and I'm already pretty broke since I've ha to buy so much for my apartement. So I can't afford a scanner and tablet till another few months (and I still need to buy a sofa). Or I guess I mi
